Covid 19 Update


The Coronavirus continues to have an impact on communities across the globe, and we appreciate that this is a challenging and uncertain time for everyone.

Our customers and staff have been at the heart of Donaghys since 1960, and we wanted to take the time to reassure you of the actions we’re taking as a responsible retailer.



Royal Mail are currently experiencing delays across their network. Staffing issues due to self isolation and social distancing, along with greatly increased parcel volumes are having an effect on their service. We apologise for these delays and advise you to allow extra time for your orders to be delivered. Unfortunately parcels are not considered as lost until 15 working days have passed by Royal Mail so we are unable to investigate until this time has passed




Due to the extra pressures on Royal Mail this year due to Covid-19 and an increase in online ordering we have made the decision to bring forward our date’s for delivery in time for Christmas 




Standard and Express Delivery - The last date for orders with Standard and Express delivery to be delivered in time for Christmas is 2pm on Wednesday 16th December. We will continue to dispatch orders after this date but unfortunately we cannot guarantee delivery in time for Christmas.


Royal Mail Special Delivery by 1pm - The last date for orders with Special Delivery by 1pm is Friday 18th December at 2pm. We will continue to dispatch orders after this date but unfortunately we cannot guarantee delivery in time for Christmas.

Our store re-opened on 12th June. We have extensive safety measures in place in-store and ask that you abide by any guidance given to you by staff while visiting our store for your safety.

Gift Vouchers

We would like to reassure our customers that there is no expiry date on our vouchers and we will be happy to accept them once we re-open.


All in-store returns for items bought after Thursday 12th March will be accepted in-store for the period of 7 days when we re-open

Online Orders

As it stands, our website remains uninterrupted and you can continue to shop with us online 24/7 from the comfort of your home.

All orders are processed and packaged using the strictest hygiene standards.

We continue to ship orders Monday through Friday in the UK and Ireland via Royal Mail and DPD. Both couriers are now using a contactless delivery system for your safety. Please note that there may be slight delays to the delivery process as companies adjust to new measures
